April 2024 Splinters

The April 2024 regular monthly meeting of your Board of Trustees was highlighted by Election and Sponsorship. Laura Ray was elected by your Board to the position of President-Elect. Laura will serve as President-Elect until the December 2024 Board meeting, wherein she will assume the role of Board President.  At that time, Tom Nicholas will begin one year of service as Past-President.

Your Board of Trustees wishes to express our excitement and enthusiasm in anticipation of serving together with Laura in this capacity.  Congratulations Laura!

 Also, your Board unanimously endorsed John-Marc Ormechea to the Unitarian Universalist Association Ministerial Fellowship Committee through a Statement of Congregational Sponsorship. This sponsorship of an applicant indicates confidence in the applicant’s potential and suitability for UU Ministry.  On behalf of the entire UU Lansing Congregation, your Board of Trustees wishes John-Marc all the best in his faith development journey.
